Louisiana is conducting a comprehensive review of procurement practices to ensure compliance, streamline processes, and mitigate risk.
The Opportunity
The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) is focused on strengthening its internal procurement policies and procedures, seeking to rigorously review alignment with state and federal regulations. To mitigate risk, the agency requires a clear diagnostic of its existing internal procedures to ensure both accuracy and efficiency.
The Support
The Southwest Comprehensive Center is conducting a comprehensive “mock review” and gap analysis, which include a thorough examination of Louisiana procurement statutes, rules, and policies, as well as staff interviews to assess current practices. This partnership will deliver a prioritized action plan to streamline procurement processes across the agency. The work will include a report with recommendations for how to maintain compliance moving forward.
Desired Outcomes
These improvements will help standardize procurement workflows across program, finance, and executive offices, reducing future risks. Ultimately, this work will establish a mature LDOE framework for long-term operational stability and continuous improvement, regardless of how regulations and leadership evolve.
