About Valerie Orellana

The Region 14 Comprehensive Center Evaluation Team collects and analyzes information to determine how our Center can continually improve our technical assistance services to clients as well as our internal processes. Valerie leads the team with a continuous improvement mindset, allowing for growth so we can consistently deliver value to our clients.
Valerie has more than 14 years of experience in data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting in survey research, program evaluation, and education research studies. This experience helps Valerie lead the team toward a more outcome-focused annual evaluation and exploration of more succinct ways of conveying complex information.
Career Highlights
Valerie is currently serving as the Evaluation Lead of Region 14 Comprehensive Center, assisting state education agencies in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas.
Served as Assistant Project Director for two survey research projects (Unpaid Caregiver Survey and Foster Care Youth Experience Survey) for the New York City Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity.
Contributed to the development and testing of a measure that can be used to assess the relationship between families and ECE providers for young children: Development of a Measure of Family and Provider/Teacher Relationship Quality (FPTRQ).
